Great sound, nice price, but should you buy them?

Days After I Buy This Grado Prestige Series SR125i Headphones

Grado Prestige Series SR125i Headphones

I'm not going to get technical and try to input an "Average Joe" point of view. I think the sound of the SR125s is awesome and I don't think you can find another brand that sounds better under $150. That being said, I would really give these cans a 4 1/2 star review because of a few minor issues.

-The comfort level on these is almost a dare. They sound so great, but I find that I can't listen to them for more than an hour without starting to get ear pain from the
cheap foam and the way they rest on the ear.
-I know these aren't meant for portability, but they really aren't very portable at all. The foam ear pads keep on falling off at the drop of a hat when traveling.
-I don't know if these are THAT much of an improvement over the SR80s that they warrant costing 50% more.

I think these SR125s are certainly worth the money, but if you don't mind almost as good sound, you can get a better deal with the SR80s. The SR80s also don't need an adapter to use them with portable devices. But these DO sound a little better, so if you don't mind the price difference, buy them. I would also mention the SR225s add about the same level up in sound from the SR125s as going from the SR80s to the SR125s, and only add $50 more. So if you don't mind going $50 up from SR80s to the SR125s, maybe you should look at the SR225s also, because they do sound better. You won't be disappointed with any of the three.

Great for on the go power

Why You Ned to Buy Goal Zero 19006 Adventure Batteries

Goal Zero 19006 Adventure Batteries

I got this to put in my emergency kit, it'll recharge batteries for my ham radio. The fact that I can use it to recharge a cell phone, ipod, or other usb powered device is just bonus in my opinion. I haven't been able to give it a good field test yet, but I have used it in sub-optimal conditions and it still charges the batteries up (certainly much more slowly than it would under prime conditions). I'm going to have to save up for one of the more powerful kits to power my CPAP in the event of a disaster, I'll definitely be using for camping as well. All in all, a great product. The quality is quite apparent, it doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart in your hands and in fact, gives the impression that it could hold up to quite a bit of abuse (although, I for one won't intentionally test it in this regard). The battery charger works great with or without the solar panel. I've been able to plug it into a usb port and charge batteries up without any issues. It also works as advertised in that it can supply power through the built in usb port. I completely recommend this for people looking for backup/emergency power for small electronic devices.

I have a hard time understanding why several other reviews keep saying that the themes to this story are outdated -- wishful thinking, perhaps. But unfortunately, the themes of bigotry, prejudice and hatred are still alive and well and living in the U.S. today (should anyone doubt this, consider that the first successful murder conviction in the south against a white man for killing a black man occurred in the 1970's!) Abuse of power and the overwhelming gap between the poor and the rich are also as healthy as ever.

Sure, there are some specifically outdated elements -- sharecropping, for instance. And the tobacco subplot isn't really very PC nowadays, though it's pretty funny. But what's important is still contemporary.

The acting is marvelous, and the chemistry between Fred Astaire and Petula Clark is very strong, making Sharon's instant infatuation with Woody much more believable than it might otherwise be. "He's just like you!" And Og is wonderfully comical with just a hint of a serious edge, making him utterly loveable. Though probably my favorite bit of acting in the show is Howard's complete non-expression in the scene where he is being taught how to "act black".

There is a plot hole big enough to drive the Death Star through, I admit -- but I choose to see it in a slightly different light. If Og made two of the wishes -- well, you figure it out. I like to believe that maybe things aren't quite what they seem.

All in all, I think it's a wonderful, delightful and moving story and I've loved it passionately since I was six.

Great Speed and Reliability by Any Standard

Great Deals Of TP LINK TL WDR3500 Wireless Router 300Mbps

TP LINK TL WDR3500 Wireless Router 300Mbps

I decided to give this a try and see if it would perform better than my recently purchased (maybe a year ago) Medialink. Boy, am I glad I did.

First off, installation was a breeze even without using the mini disc. In under 5 minutes, all of our devices (laptops, AIO, phones, tablets and even the Xbox) had no problems at all connecting. Something my Medialink was having issues with. In particular the Xbox. I had purchased a repeater to help the signal from the Medialink hit the whole house and the Xbox. Once I installed this beauty, the Xbox found both signals (different SSID's for the different bands) and on the 5Ghz frequency, even showing only 1 bar, the Xbox flawlessly connects. The standard 2.4GHZ is 3 bars. The medialink in the exact same position could not be found by the Xbox.

So far, the only device that can "see" the 5 Ghz band is my new Gateway AIO PC that is upstairs and the router is downstairs. Surfing is smooth and seamless. I streamed from this device to the AppleTV over the 5 Ghz band and had no issues at all.

Very happy that the Xbox connects and I can get rid of the repeater in my house.

Great Deals Of Vincent Big Bad Kitchen Band

Vincent Big Bad Kitchen Band

I am a 40 year plus Tinnitus sufferer and have trouble sleeping. I have no problem falling asleep but I cannot stay asleep the noise wakes me, sometimes every ten minutes, I walk around all day like a zombie. I just started to use this product and found that I sleep for hours at a time, this morning I woke up feeling that everything is right with the world!
Ok the logistics, I am a woman this is too big for me, I will adjust it with some elastic or cut it and sew it back together it is easy to do fleece does not fray. One problem solved.
It tends to fall over my eyes, it is annoying but sometimes helps to keep it covering my eyes to block out the light. Another problem solved.

You have to take into account that your head is round and it is difficult to keep something wrapped around it and expect it to stay in place. But this does a good job in rectifying this.
I do not want to have all of the world blocked because if something happens you would not hear it. This morning I awoke to the sound of the rain, I love that sound and the gentle drops allowed me to wake slowly. I looked a the clock and it said, 6:55. I have not slept passed 4:00 in years.
What I do for my Tinnitus is use some pink noise, yes Pink it is softer than the white. I also have some cd's that I downloaded to my IPod shuffle. I bought it just for sleep because it is so small I can hook it to the headband and not worry about getting tangled. I use ocean waves, rain and wind. Singing and talking will tend to wake you up. Choose soft and even sound, no rumbling thunder, that will knock you out of bed.
I cannot say enough about this product, I want to tell every Tinnitus sufferer I can about this, this is a boon to our sleeping. It has given me the sleep that I have not had for many years.
I am only rating this as a Tinnitus sufferer since that is the only reason I am using it. I am sure that it will work for the person who just needs some music for relaxation to lull themselves to sleep. Either way it is fantastic.

Sleeper LP of 2003!!!

Why You Ned to Buy Champion Sound Jaylib

Champion Sound Jaylib

Yeah I said the "M-Word". This album, to me (so feeel free to disagree), is a perfect melding of both the underground and the mainstream. On the underground side, you have the lo-fi quality of the beats (which is an element that helps it out), and the sampling, which is few and far between in hip-hop these days. On the mainstream side, you have guests Frank 'N' Dank, Talib Kweli (who is both underground and mainstream, along with mainstream-themed songs like Strip Club and McNasty Filth. That said, I personally think Jay Dee and Madlib are talented both on the knobs and the rhymes, all in their own rights. Comparing them lyrically to guest MCs Frank 'N' Dank and Talib, they don't hold a flame, but that certainly doesn't mean they don't have anything going for them. They both have a disjunct style of rhyming, somewhat similar in delivery to MF Doom, possibly (but once again, not to the lyrical calibre of Doom). All in all this album still gets my 5 stars for being one of the most stupendous albums out right now, on the market, and I feel it is a must have for both underground and mainstream hip-hop fans.

Everything a non techie could want

Why You Ned to Buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 10 1 Inch Wi Fi

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10 1 Inch Wi Fi

I didn't really know what I wanted when I went shopping for my Christmas tablet..I ended up coming home w the latest Kindle Fire because the store was sold out of the Galaxy Tab 2. I played w the Kindle and got familiar w it but I just couldn't get the tab off my mind... So I did a ton of research and ultimately decided to take the kindle back and trade it for the Tab.
Boy am I glad I did! What an amazing difference in functionality! I absolutely adore the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. There were a lot of things missing from the Kindle but the Tab isn't lacking anything other than a usb port, however, you can buy little adapters for this. Please note, the charge cord it comes w is teenie so a longer one might be a good side purchase as well.
The sound has nice volume for a small device and is crisp. It has beautiful graphics, very clear and vibrant. The accuracy of the touch screen is fantastic, haven't felt like it mistypes or has lagged on me at all. The size is perfect, not too big not too small, easy to cart around. It feels well made like a quality piece, it has enough weight so as not to feel cheap but it's not heavy at all. Having two cameras was cool to me but not necessary, the quality of them is good, not great and there is no flash but it does also do video. Battery life has been excellent so far, I'm on it on and off all day and just charge at night while I'm sleeping.
One thing that caused me to trade in the Kindle was the lack of apps. The Tab doesn't have that problem. There really isn't much that it can't do. It comes w some pretty cool apps built in, like the remote app where you can control your tv and view programs. Bonus, it makes a great reader too so you can download the Kindle app and have it all!
Overall, I'd say they did pretty darned well w this little gem, I highly recommend it to anyone.

After I Buy The Shearing Spell Velvet Carpet

The Shearing Spell Velvet Carpet

The basic concept of this game is simple: Your fish must swim through dangerous waters eating the white food orbs and avoiding the black poison orbs. Level objectives change as one progresses through the game, so game play is not monotonous. I'll leave it up to you to discover each level's objective, but suffice it to say that each new task is easy to learn and challenging to master.

To change the swimming direction of the fish, one must "tilt" the device. I am not at all good at games involving the "tilt feature" of a device. In fact, my ten year old daughter usually makes fun of my lame efforts to play such games. However, the controls of this game are logically sensitive so I feel very "in control" of my environment. I like that the tilt controls can be adjusted to respond to holding one's device flat or at an angle.

I really prefer to remain positive when I write my reviews. However, this time... I have to say that I think the music in this game sounds like an ominous funeral dirge! Of course, you be the judge. One can turn off sound.

Last Fish is very similar to another game on the Amazon market called "Osmos." When I first began to play Last Fish, I actually thought it was from the developers of Osmos. Both games involve size changing orbs that one needs to avoid. However, Osmos uses finger touches instead of tilt controls and the game objectives are a bit different.

I really like this App. The intuitive nature of the game makes it so players are not easily frustrated. The game is challenging, but not impossible. This game's tilt controls might even help develop patience in its players. We all need more patience in this world, so that might be a good thing!

Great Deals Of Dixie Avail

Dixie Avail

"Take heart, all of you who've mourned the absence of Avail from the Richmond scene these past several years. Freeman, a new band who've been around for the past year or so, reunites 3/5 of the classic Satiate/Dixie lineup of Avail, bringing them back together for the first time in fifteen years. Guitarist Joe Banks is still technically a member of Avail (since they are technically still together), but drummer Erik Larson left after 1998's Over The James, and Avail bassist Chuck McCauley, who is playing rhythm guitar in Freeman now, last played with Avail in 1994. Along with former Wheelbite vocalist Freeman Martin and former Mason Dixon Disaster bassist Chris Rigo, they make up Freeman . . . celebrating the release of their debut LP, It Doesn't Matter. The album is currently available . . . and it's pretty excellent, bringing that same driving, melodic, somewhat emotional sound that Avail always had together with more overt hardcore influences and Freeman's voice, which is reminiscent both of Hot Water Music's Chuck Ragan and of Dave Smalley during his Down By Law days. The album definitely continues in the tradition established by Avail's classic 90s albums, and Freeman should easily win a place in the heart of that band's longtime fans."

Days After I Buy This The Hugo Movie Companion Beloved

The Hugo Movie Companion Beloved

I agree enthusiastically with all the reviews here, but just want to add one thing. The book is written for the same age level as Selnick's original book. But that doesn't mean it "talks down" to adults. Quite the contrary, like the movie itself, it will appeal, educate, and entertain readers of all ages. I'm 67, a college grad, and have read many 'making of' movie books - and this is one of the best in explaining all the background and behind-the-scenes information. I especially loved the last chapter where he describes filming the final scene, and his experiences in being an extra in it.
His postscript references of books, locations, movies, and websites for further study and information on will give any reader lots more to enjoy if they want.
Anyone who owns the DVD should own this book as well!
