Wonderful!

Days After I Buy This Motorola S305 Bluetooth Headset Microphone

Motorola S305 Bluetooth Headset Microphone

I own another pair of the Motorola Bluetooth headphones. I enjoy them, but they consistently lose connection when used. I read some reviews concerning these and thought that I'd try upgrading. They connect pretty well to my iTouch as well as my phone. I've managed to place my iTouch in a bedroom and walk away, around 20ft, and still had my connection. I forgot that I didn't have the iTouch even with me. I tried it out with my phone by placing a call. The other person said that she could hear me very well. The battery life seems to be good as well. I charged them and they've sat for awhile and still held a charge.

The ONLY two negatives that I've come across so far is that:
1. I'm not real crazy about the fit. Yes, you can't really tell that you have them on, but they are very loose. Comfortable, but now I can understand why the hook over the ears.
2. The older headphones had multiple colored lights that could tell you what was going on. A minor detail, but it helped knowing when it was charging, syncing, and connected. There are tones that you can hear, but I've found that I need to push the power button while the headphones are off so that I can find it. So the tones don't really do much for me. The smaller buttons are also a little difficult to find, but I really don't have as much of a problem with them.

I didn't know I needed this.

After I Buy Bose%C2%AE QuietComfort%C2%AE Acoustic Cancelling%C2%AE Headphones

Bose%C2%AE QuietComfort%C2%AE Acoustic Cancelling%C2%AE Headphones

I got these headphones strictly for their jerk-cancelling properties and they are a life-changer.

In addition to the chainsaw or other construction noises that begin and end precisely in the time I have to take my nap on my deadline days, my neighborhood frequently has people who park in it, right outside our houses, or not even that close, and play that annoying low bass on their car stereos, with their windows open, for all to hear.

I like to joke that I am only hostile, not violent, but this can make me feel homicidal, having this thump-thump-thump attack my existence. One should reasonably be able to presume that the sounds they hear in their house are house sounds and not the house-foundation-shaking stylings of "'Eff' Da Ho." These headphones are incredible -- from what I've seen in reviews on the web, the best there is -- and make that a reality.

Thank you, thank you, Dr. Bose!

Great Album

After I Buy Femme Fatale

Femme Fatale

Simply put, Femme Fatale is the best dance/pop album I have ever heard. Coming from an over-50 person, that is quite a claim. I am not a Britney fan at all and will never buy her previous albums. But this collection has a special magic that I have not heard in pop music in years. It's indeed quirky and clever, but most of all it's melodic and complex. It certainly has its autotune effects, but it actually helped smooth her sometimes affected delivery. I have been playing Femme regularly for almost a year and am still dissecting harmonies hidden in its delicious chord progressions. "Inside Out" may be the best single of the lot. But don't skip over anything, they all work beautifully together. Britney really worked hard to make this her statement, and it shows. And to her credit, her singing is far better here then on previous albums... she's lighter, spacial and less groan-y.

Don't be afraid to listen, you may love it as much as I did.

Days After I Buy This Pioneer TS SWX251 Subwoofer Enclosure Watts

Pioneer TS SWX251 Subwoofer Enclosure Watts

I have this on the floor behind the passenger seat in a 2011 Toyota Tacoma. With the passenger seat slid back, with only one click until fully locked back, it slides very nicely under the small Access Cab seat!! My 6' friend was super comfortable in the passenger seat. You can put things on top of the box, so it's not a big barrier to carrying cargo. I'm going to move it to my side of the cab, just so 3rd passengers can sit not behind me.

This thing is SUPER loud if you want it to be. It tones down nicely and is a very, very nice sub.I've got it hooked up to a 250 watt amp and I have the gain down to 1/4 of the max power - and it still sounds amazing!

I listen to hard rock, jazz, rap, classic rock, sports radio, seriously just about everything - that's why I went with a sealed enclosure.

I get good deep bass, that's solid and clean. I have it tuned down so I can hear fantastic bass, but it's not loud at all outside my truck, a great feature if you want to stay inconspicuous and still enjoy quality sound.

It's stealth looking too. There is just one side that's branded "Pioneer", but you can't see it in my truck, it looks like a random box. Very nice.

This is a fantastic buy, it can be whatever you want it to be. 100% satisfied with this purchase.

Love 'em!!!!

Why You Ned to Buy Sony DREX12iP BLK Phone Headset

Sony DREX12iP BLK Phone Headset

I bought these a while back at Best Buy. I have had no problems with them at all (that wasn't the result of user error) since buying them. The build quality of everything is exceptional compared to the brands I've used in the past. I use and sometimes abuse them almost daily, and they're still not showing any wear and tear, by now previous headphones would be showing wire or one earbud would start to break and eventually cease playing sounds. I've had no complains about quality when talking with people on the phone and the volume and play/pause/ffw/rw/answer/hangup buttons work great!

I love them. I'm no audiophile in the least bit. The sound quality excellent to my ears, however there are quite a few people complaining about the quality so maybe it's my ears :o) I would definitely highly recommend them to others.

And then there is the music

Why You Ned to Buy Single Man Original Picture Soundtrack

Single Man Original Picture Soundtrack

The music to "A Single Man" is exceptional. It is perhaps the most beautiful soundtrack I have ever heard. There are two different composers who capture
George's (Collin Firth) emotional roller coaster. Abel Korzeniowski and Shigeru
Umebayashi should have gotten best musical score at the Academy Awards. Tom Ford
who directed, wrote the best parts of the screen play and produced it should have received best picture, best director in 2010. I am sure Tom Ford was instrumental in the music also as far as what he wanted to convey in the music emotionally, as he did frame by frame
to perfection in his screen play. The violins are haunting through out the main
theme. You can visualize every scene in the movie, just through the music. I can't say enough good things about the soundtrack and the movie.
I give it my highest rating and of course, I bought the movie too.

So Crazy I Knew I Could Break Thru With You

Great Deals Of Just Kids Patti Smith

Just Kids Patti Smith

I just finished reading Patti Smith's book Just Kids and I loved it so much I just had to share this story.

In 1973, my boyfriend was in the band Eightballs, and every Sunday night they shared the bill with the New York Dolls at the Mercer Arts Center in NYC. I was in college at the time, but I would hop on the bus outside the school gates and take the 2 hour ride into Manhattan, pick up the subway at Port Authority, exit on 4th by the Waverly Theatre, and then walk the 8 blocks or so to the Mercer Arts Center. By then it was nighttime and in the winter it was cold.

The night would open with an unknown poet named Patti Smith. She would sit on the floor playing a toy piano and read her poetry and sometimes sing a little diddy. Her entourage included a woman I thought was her girlfriend. Patti wore all black and had a beatnik vibe about her. She was not friendly towards me or my friend Janet who was the girlfriend of the bass player of Eightballs, (Janet and I are still friends to this day), and quite honestly, we did not extend ourselves towards her. In truth, Patti Smith seemed kind of scary and off limits. After her set, she would take off, and a band from Long Island called Teenage Lust would do their set complete with red boas and black lingerie.

My impression of Patti Smith at the time was that she was a lesbian drug addict. What I found out from reading her book was that not only was she as straight as an arrow in both drugs, drink, and sexuality, the woman I thought was her lover was actually her sister.

Patti Smith's book, Just Kids, is brilliantly written. As she tells her tale of love and life with Robert Mapplethorpe, I am sorry I didn't take the moment to smile and say hello back in the days of the Mercer Arts Center. I was 17 at the time, and more interested in dancing and boyfriends, and college life. I had no idea what was happening in Patti Smith's world which was full of dedication to art and poetry. We really were existing on two completely different planes. However, our paths did cross, and I am grateful I had a glimpse of her journey firsthand. It turns out that we are both from New Jersey (me, north, she south) and come from close knit and supportive families.

Just Kids is truly a love story. A love story where the leading character is art. It is beautifully written and heartfelt. I can still picture Patti Smith so vividly from back then, and after reading her story I feel honored that she opened herself up for all the world to see, hear, and feel. Thank you, Patti.
